  1. The lady is stunning. You do amazing work. Thanks for the giveaway too. I’ve also shared your giveaway on my Giveaway List for sewers and quilters. Thanks again. (debbie at wowilikethat dot com)

  2. Hi and thank you for the chance to win. This quilt is wonderful. All of her embellishments make me think of a storyteller. She has lot to tell us!

  3. Sorry – clicked Submit too fast! Wanted to say that she is waiting for a handsome man to ask her for a dance to twirl that lovely skirt! 🙂

  4. I hear demure and hope filled, “Do I look alright?”

Thank you for the chance of the giveaway. I came over from Alma Stoller’s blog. These pieces of yours are so beautiful!

  5. One of my first thoughts was “quinceanera” – celebration for spanish girls turning 15 and entering womanhood. And they wear beautiful dresses

  6. “All dressed and ready to party” Your piece is just gorgeous. I love the details and attachments to the skirt layers. Very clever and a fun way to embellish. Thanks for sharing.

  7. This is absolutely STUNNING! It speaks of “Elegant Beauty”, “Quiet Confidence” and “Unmatched Style”. Thanks for sharing, this would make a most beautiful wall hanging!

  8. Southern Bell!

This is truly a most beautiful Southern Bell …
Miss Scarlett would give her stamp of approval … and you know that is a hard thing for her to do!

  9. Your Little Miss is quite lovely.
I would add the sentiment: “Life is the dancer and you are the dance.”

  10. I love your work! You are so creative ! I believe this beauty is a young girl attending her first Spring Dance. She is all dressed up and ready to dance the night away!

  11. Maybe it should just say “belle”, beautiful in French. You always do such wonderful work! Thanks for sharing!

  12. She is waiting for someone to ask her to dance. It remind sme of some of the books my mother would read where the lady was a ‘wallflower’ while she waited for the man to come ask for a dance.

  13. Donna Marchlewski

She’s sixteen, it’s her first “grown up” dress and she’s asking her father if he thinks she’s beautiful. He tears up and says “absolutely, you are, and have always been beautiful”
